Below you will find a review of two great strollers compared to one another - Babyzen Yoyo and Mountain Buggy Nano. Both are available in our rental in Tallinn.

Babyzen Yoyo is considered the uncrowned king of the travel strollers - it is light, easy to fold, beautiful to watch and convenient to take anywhere with you! At the same time there are a few "buts" that you don't hear often before actually starting to use it. As Mountain Buggy Nano seems to be very similar to it, we are comparing the two and explaining the differences.

  • Dimensions folded: 52cm x 45 cm x 18 cm

  • Weight: 6.2 kg

  • Colours available: black, pink, red

  • Rental price from 30€ + deposit 100€

  • Available accessories: rain cover, 0+ newborn pack, standing board for elder child, footrest

Pros (vs Nano):

  • Peekaboo window in the canopy

  • Convenient zipped pocket, to put your purse or diapers in it

  • Great fit for taller parents

  • Big shopping basket (fits only 2 kg though)

Cons:

  • Pricy rental

  • Often not available

  • 6+ version seat recline isn't flat

  • 0+ newborn pack is a nuisance to change to 6+ version

  • 0+ newborn pack is meant for smaller babies. Starting from 5months it is a bit small for some and yet most children don't sit yet by 6 months, so there is a gap in use from approximately 5-7 months in between.

  • Seat size is a bit smaller than in Nano, more suitable for children up to 3 years

  • Footrest needs to be rented additionally

  • Dimensions folded: 54 cm x 51 cm x 30 cm (51 cm x 46 cm x 30 cm without the wheels )

  • Weight: 5.9 kg

  • Colours: blue and black

  • Rental price starting from 25€ + deposit 100€

  • Available accessories: travel bag, baby cocoon, rain cover, mosquito net, blackout cover

Pros (vs. Babyzen Yoyo):

  • Suitable for a child 0-20 kg, no need to rent anything additionally

  • Easy to add a baby cocoon, which meets also plane cabinet requirements

  • Basket that can handle up to 5kg (though a bit not so comfortable to access as in Yoyo)

  • Wide seat, comfortable for children 3+

  • Built in footrest

  • Adapters to assemble your car seat (works with most)

Cons:

  • Is a bit bigger than some smaller plane hand luggage requirements and thus you need to be ready to disassemble the wheels.

  • Cocoon is not too big, works for smaller babies

There are actually a lot of similarities between the two, for example

  • both are light and easy to fold

  • both have travel bags

  • both can be opened with one hand (but needs practice)

  • both have newborn options, which can be also rented separately

  • both have a carrier belt (Yoyo one is of course a bit nicer)

  • canopy size is similar

  • similar wheels system
